Privacy Policy
What Pondicherry Cabs & Drop Taxi collects through https://www.pondicherrycabs.in, and what it does not.
The short version
This website has no accounts, no login and no online payment. It does not run a database and it does not store your booking anywhere. When you use the booking form, nothing is submitted to us through the site: the form simply opens WhatsApp with your trip details already typed, and you choose whether to send that message.
What we collect
Through the website: anonymous usage statistics only, through Google Analytics. That covers pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, and which buttons are tapped, for example a call or WhatsApp button and which route page it was on. These records do not contain your name, phone number or email.
When you contact us: whatever you send in your WhatsApp message, call or email, which in practice is your name, phone number and trip details. We use it to quote, arrange and carry out your trip, and to contact you about that trip.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
- We do not take card or bank details on this website.
- We do not put your name, phone number or email into analytics.
- We do not send marketing messages to people who only asked for a quote.
Cookies and other services
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. You can block them in your browser settings, or browse privately, and the site will still work in full.
Third parties involved when you use this site:
- Google Analytics, for the usage statistics described above.
- WhatsApp, owned by Meta, if you tap a WhatsApp button. Your message is then covered by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
- Google Maps, which loads the map shown on the contact page.
- Vercel, which hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.
How long we keep things
Trip messages stay in our WhatsApp, phone and email history for as long as we need them to run the service and settle any question about a trip. Analytics data is held by Google under its own retention settings and is not identifiable to you.
Your choices
Ask us to delete the messages and details we hold about you and we will, unless we need them to finish a trip you have booked. Call +91 90873 66001 or email booking@pondicherrycabs.in.
